How do we handle dependencies in a scaled up scrum environment? In this interactive meetup, you’ll meet nine geographically-distributed teams with lots of dependencies trying to plan their work for next quarter. You’ll work together to visualize the dependencies using a mapping technique created by Season Hughes and Chris Sims. Your map will enable the teams to successfully navigate quarterly planning.

Our Presenters

Season Hughes coaches teams on finding their purpose and motivation to deliver customer value using agile methodologies. Her focus on team health sets the foundation for high performance. She has over a decade of experience in the tech industry at companies like Amazon, Atlassian, Dolby, and TripAdvisor. Season holds a number of certifications including: Certified Scrum Master, Advanced Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional – Scrum Master, and Certified Scrum Product Owner. She is currently pursuing the International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach credential along with a BS in Computer Science from Oregon State University.

Chris Sims is a certified scrum trainer, agile coach, and recovering C++ developer who helps organizations improve their productivity and happiness.
Chris is the founder of Agile Learning Labs and the co-author of two best-selling scrum books: The Elements of Scrum and Scrum: a Breathtakingly Brief and Agile Introduction. More of his writing can be found on the Agile Learning Labs blog.
Before starting Agile Learning Labs in 2007, Chris made a living in roles such as: scrum master, product owner, engineering manager, project manager, software engineer, musician, and auto mechanic.
