Scrum Professionals – Collaboration – It May Not Be What You’re Doing

March 4, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm PST

Free

In the agile world we talk about collaboration as a key part of the inspect and adapt process; mostly that’s not actually what happens. If we aren’t collaborating then what are we doing instead? We will distinguish between communication, coordination, cooperation, and real collaboration. Together, we will experiment with a framework for creating a true collaborative space. You will leave the session with tools to increase collaboration on the court in your own workplace.

Our Presenter:
Cathy Simpson is a certified scrum trainer (CST) and agile coach, with a passion for bringing joy and productivity to work. As a scrum trainer she teaches organizations to use scrum to maximize productivity and market reach. Cathy combines a warm energetic style with insights learned in the trenches at companies ranging from small start-ups to large financial institutions. She also regularly speaks about scrum and agile at national and local conferences. When she’s not teaching classes, Cathy coaches women from around the world as an impact advisor for the TechWomen program sponsored by the US State Department. She recently used agile principles to produce the first virtual Easterseals camp for adults with disabilities.
